It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas time is here...

okay, almost.

But it's close enough. So close that I've decided to go ahead and decorate my house! Last year, we moved in November, so I did not have the opportunity to get all the Christmas decor out. This year, I'm making up for lost time.

I know, it's a little early...and it might be a bit much to other people to put up the tree in November. But here's the thing. We live in Indiana, which, while not quite as cold as a lot of other places in the world, definitely has its fair share of cold weather. When we moved last year, it was in the middle of a snowstorm (I do not recommend that, in case you're wondering). And that was November. I don't think it started to warm up until early May, and even then it was a while before we broke through to the 70's again. All of that to say, the winters here can d r a g on forever. By February, you're just over it...and you are only halfway done! So that's why I'm getting the Christmas stuff out early this year. Why not enjoy all the things that make my heart happy for just a little longer?

Now I just have to figure out what to do with these stockings, since we don't have a mantle....
